Freebie (limited time) designer preview (rolled papers) tutorial and template

How are you doing? How is your week going? We are doing great. We had a very scary event this weekend. My mentors 3yo grandson went missing while they were camping. He ran after a dog that had gotten away. Everyone thought he was with someone else. After searching for almost an hour they called in search and rescue. It took another hour but they found him. He had walked 1/2 mile and was knocking on this abandoned trailer looking for his mom. It was horrible. I was so impressed with Duchesne search and rescue are amazing. Within minutes 20 of them showed up and had a total of about 50 people coming. They were organized and great to deal with. They were sweet, kind and very comforting. They promised they do this all the time and would find him and they were right. We are getting them a special card to say thank you.

I promised I would post this tutorial. This will show you how to make a paper preview that appears as if the papers are round on a roll. I also decided to make a template for you as well. Please know that this template and tutorial is only going to be online for a limited time so be sure to grab them both before they are taken down!

Good morning! How are you all doing? I hope you are having a great week. Right now we are watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. My lil man loves this show. I think I have it memorized after seeing it probably over 100 times. lol! He might get to go to the zoo with a friend (if the weather permits). I haven't said anything yet. I think its better to not get him excited just in case it rains. I hope he gets to go. He would have so much fun (fingers crossed that it doesn't rain)! :)

Good morning (well, afternoon) :)
How is your week going? We are really having a fun week. My cute lil man is going with a friend to the zoo tomorrow (but I'm keeping that on the down low because I don't think he would sleep at all if I didn't) lol! Today we went for our weekly walk to the thrift store and to get a treat at the store. It's amazing what $3 can spend and make a 4 yo so happy. lol! He loves going there and they all know who he is. They always save some of the toys that come in for him since they know he loves green lantern and all those super heroes.

I have some more patriotic sets and a birdhouse in my stores. I also am finishing up with a wooden wheelbarrow that will go in my stores either today or tomorrow sometime. I am shocked how much I have been able to do with this half cast thing on my arm. But when there is a will there is a way, right? lol! My mentor will be taking me to my first physical therapy today on my arm. I am not excited about it and I plan on whining the whole time. lol!

How is your week going? We are having a great week. My lil man is laying next to me after a fun day of playing and having fun. He is watching legos online on YouTube. He loves watching that before he goes to sleep. I can see his beautiful blue eyes slowly shutting. Shut a cute thing to see! :)

I have one more item I put in my stores today and wanted to show you. I have to hurry because my lil man is starving and there isnt anything to eat in the house that he likes so we are going to walk to the store. He keeps handing me my shoes and telling me to hurry up. lol!

New patriotic templates now in stores plus a new store opening

Hello! How are you doing today? How has your week been? We have had a pretty good week. I am excited about getting out of town this weekend with friends. Its a great thing for us. It gets me out of the house and we really have fun. Its a great way to end the week! Do you camp? I never thought of myself as a camper. I love my showers and all the stuff that you cant have camping (tv, blow dryer) lol! But after going with my friends on the weekends I have come to enjoy it and even look forward to going now. But I always look forward to coming home again to. lol! :)

I have some exciting news (well, it is for me anyway) :) I have joined another store. This is Kitten Scraps. You can see my store and items in it here. I am getting my stuff in their right now. It is slow going with one broken arm and the other one still hurt. I hurt the muscles on my other arm. It seems I jammed my arm when I fell. Luckily the Dr said I only broke 1 and not both. So I am not allowed to lift anything and have to put heat packs on it and do stretches after I get it heated up. The weird thing about the broken arm is they wont cast it because of where I broke it. They said that because it is very close to the joint by the elbow if they cast it I will have to do 6 weeks or so of physical therapy to get it to move again. So they are leaving on the half cast so when I walk or am moving around it will be protected. But when I sit down I have to take it off to do the movement exercises. Those hurt a lot. I would rather never have to do them. My lil man hates it when I do them because he knows it is hurting me and he hates that. He tells me he will kiss it better for me. Oh I love that cute lil man! :)

Well I guess I have gone on long enough about that. Sorry! :)

I have more patriotic templates I have put in my stores today. I love patriotic items. I love everything about Independence day. I love the parades, the fireworks, the red/white/blue. I love it all. I also love the Americana deco. I would love to have a home all decorated that way. But for now I will just make them in Photoshop. lol!

New summertime country pride & designer preview templates now in stores.

How has your week been going? Its been ok so far. I went to the Drs today for my arms. He said that where I broke my arm (elbow) its bad to cast them. If you do it can make the arm not move and I will have to do extensive physical therapy. So, I have to wrap my arm and leave it in a sling but every hour do stretches. I dont think hes ever had a broken elbow. It hurts way to bad to do that. He said I jammed my right wrist and my left wrist, arm and shoulder when I fell and thats going to take a long time to get better.

Well, enough of the whining, lol. On to the good stuff. :)

I figured out a way to still work on the computer even with a broken arm and another hurt arm. I couldnt handle not working. I am sure most of you know that feeling. lol! Here are some new items I just did. If you notice, some of the templates are the same basic with different details. That was done for a customer who asked for both 4th of July and summer decorations on them. I hope you like my new templates and I hope you are having a great week.

New items in stores

How are you doing? How is your week going? I hope you are having a great week.

I am sorry I have been so quiet this week. Last Saturday I fell and broke my arm right ny the elbow on my right hand and hurt the wrist on my left hand so I havent done much at all this week, I cant wait until they get a cast on (maybe tomorrow) so maybe I can use my right hand at least.

I have items I have put in my stores but havent shown yo yet so I wanted to show them to you. Also since I wont be here this weekend I have 3 blog trains that are going to be scheduled for Sunday. I hope I dont mess that one up. lol Please come back and see the trains.

How to make a template tutorial

I get emails from others asking how to make templates. I decided that I would make a couple tutorials showing you the basics of making tutorials. This will show you how to make a patriotic paper template complete with saving the files as individual pngs. This tutorial will be offered free for a very limited time.

I hope this helps you if you are trying to make templates and don't where to begin. I am finishing up another tutorial that will show you how to make an element and how I shade and highlight my items (I don't use styles and I don't use dodge and burn because in class we were taught to do it another way so I have continued doing it that way). The element I am going to show you how to make a template with is a firecracker. It takes me a little longer to get tutorials done because I make them and once I'm done I send them to a friend to go through them to help with the wording to make sure it's ok. Once she is done she sends it back to me to fix and I release it. Hopefully I will have it done by the end of this week.

I hope you are having a great day! We are doing good. My lil man (who will be 5 soon) fell while goofing off and cut his chin. He needed 3 stitches. Its really hard to watch your lil ones get hurt. I didn't realize how hard it was going to be for me. He told me that he's a big tough boy now and won't cry anymore. It is so cute.
For his birthday I have decided to get him a police uniform with all the extras. It wasn't that expensive so I was excited. It is cute. I got him a lil badge, a pair of handcuffs (which I know will be on me) lol. I also got him some other items to go with it. Even a siren that goes on his bike. I can't wait for his birthday now. Well, first I will have to wait for Amazon to deliver it. lol!
